"Sometimes you just get lucky - and that’s exactly how I feel about crossing paths with Pete Monte. What started as an overgrown, unusable portion of my 4-acre property turned into something I had always envisioned but didn’t know how to execute on my own. When Pete arrived, the land was covered in unhealthy arborvitae, poison ivy, sumac, uneven terrain, and scattered debris. It felt overwhelming. Pete not only saw the potential immediately - he brought it to life. He cleared the land, corrected the grade, brought in materials, and built a solid foundation for my run-in shed. He also completed beautiful, functional fencing that tied everything together. What I appreciated most was his work ethic, attention to detail, and the way he genuinely cared about the outcome. He wasn’t just doing a job - he was helping me create my dream horse property. And now, I’m actually living it.
If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, skilled, and truly takes pride in their work, Pete is your guy. I can’t recommend him enough."

"After dealing with the stress of moving and first time home ownership, the next step in my husbands and I’s settling in process was to get a paddock area situated for two horses. The current paddock we had a very high water table, was not aligned to the barn stall doors, and a rotted out fence. We were referred to Pete from multiple sources due to his glowing reputation. Pete responded quickly to assess the situation and listened to our concerns. He brought up factors that we hadn’t considered but due to his experience, he was able to set us up for long term success. We also had a time crunch where I needed to bring our horses home within 3 weeks. That time constraint was no problem for Pete. He quickly set to work.
The paddock area was previously filled with loam, which worked for smaller animals, but wouldn’t hold up for horses. Pete cleared the loam and reused it help grade the surrounding yard outside the paddock. He was also able to use a mound of clay that was brought in by the previous homeowner to help grade the area which was resourceful and helped with finances. However due to weather, that mound of clay would require weeks to dry out before it would be useable. This would also push us past the deadline of getting the horses home. Despite this unforeseen circumstance, Pete was still able to create a usable area large enough for two horses before the due date. Once the clay dried, Pete came back to finish the job. He installed a stunning French drain, then filled and graded the remaining paddock to allow drainage to prevent water build up. The way Pete set up the paddock withstood the Blizzard of ‘26 with minimal time for the paddock to dry out. This is extremely important for the health of my horses which I feel Pete understood deeply. Lastly, he installed the remaining fence and gates and even picked up a gate for us.
We are constantly complimented by friends and family how beautiful the paddock turned out. My husband and I were so incredibly fortunate to have Pete work with us and look forward to further projects with him."

"As a longtime horse owner, I've dealt with more fencing projects than I can count over the past three decades. From basic paddocks to elaborate arena enclosures, I've worked with plenty of contractors. But when it comes to getting it right for both my horses and my property, there's one name I now recommend without hesitation: Pete Monte.
Pete stands out in a big way. He's not just reliable—he's thorough, professional, and truly committed to delivering a complete, A-to-Z job that leaves nothing unfinished or half-done. Every detail matters to him, and it shows in the final result. What sets Pete apart even more is his genuine knowledge of horses. He understands exactly what makes fencing safe, durable, and practical for equines—things like proper height, smooth rails to prevent injuries, strong materials that withstand weather and curious nibblers, and layouts that keep horses secure while giving owners peace of mind. He's been around horses long enough to anticipate the real-world needs that generic fencers often miss.
Beyond the technical side, Pete has a sharp eye for aesthetics. He doesn't just slap up a fence; he thinks about how it looks on your property, where it fits best visually, and how it enhances the overall appeal of your land. He genuinely wants you to be thrilled—not just with the functionality, but with how beautiful and well-placed the finished fence is. On top of all that, Pete is courteous, friendly, and a true professional from start to finish. Communication is clear, timelines are respected, and the entire process feels stress-free.
If you're a horse owner looking for fencing, you can trust last, look great, and keep your animals safe, I can't recommend Pete Monte highly enough. He's the real deal. Your horses—and your property—will thank you!
(And yes, the fence in the photo below is one of his recent masterpieces—clean lines, solid construction, and perfectly suited to the horses it protects!)"
